A first aid station is located on the Upper/Departure Level of the Tom Bradley International Terminal (Terminal B). Open every day from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. For information, call (310) 215-6000.
In situations of a more serious nature, paramedic ambulance assistance can be summoned within minutes by contacting any airline employee or LAX Airport Police at (310) 646-7911 (in the Central Terminal Area).
If hospitalization is required, there are many hospitals providing 24-hour emergency service within minutes of the airport.

Frequent, courtesy shuttle service is provided between terminals to assist travelers in getting from one terminal to another for airline connections. Shuttle "A" route operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and runs every 10 minutes.
Frequent, free shuttle bus service is provided between terminals (approximately every 12 to 15 minutes) to assist travelers in getting from one terminal to another. To use this service, board the Airline Connections "A" Shuttle under the LAX Shuttle Airline Connections blue sign on the Lower Roadway/Arrivals Level island in front of each terminal. If you decide to walk from one terminal to another, please first look at the terminal map at [LAX Terminal Maps]to get an idea of how far you need to go. Dynamic map: http://maps.lawa.org is helpful if you arrive on a flight at Terminals 5, 6, 7, 8 or the Tom Bradley International Terminal (Terminal B) and need to connect to another flight within these terminals, you do not have to exit the secured side of TSA screening. These terminals are linked with passageways. However, if you arrive on a flight at Terminals 1, 2, 3 and connecting to a flight at Terminals 5, 6, 7, 8 or the Tom Bradley International Terminal (Terminal B), you have to exit the secured side of TSA screening and walk across to the terminal or board the Airline Connections “A” Shuttle.
Please note that if your connecting flight requires you to exit the secured side of TSA screening and leave the terminal, TSA’s 3-1-1 policy for liquids and gels still applies as you will have to go through security screening again. If you purchased liquids or gels at a previous airport, pack them in your checked baggage if possible.
Many hotels are located within a mile (about one and a half kilometers) or less of LAX. Some (but not all) of the major streets with hotels on them include Airport Boulevard, Century Boulevard, La Cienega Boulevard, Manchester Boulevard, and Sepulveda Boulevard.

Several modes of ground transportation operate at LAX to facilitate the movement of passengers and visitors to and from the airport. LAX courtesy shuttles provide frequent service to the following destinations:
- Airline Connector shuttle service is provided between terminals to assist travelers in getting from one terminal to another for airline connections (A Route).
- Economy Lot E shuttle service is provided between Economy Lot E (Public Parking) to each terminal (Economy Lot E).
- Metro Rail Green Line Aviation Station shuttle service is provided between Aviation Station to each terminal (G Shuttle).
- LAX City Bus Center shuttle service is provided between LAX City Bus Center to each terminal (LAX City Bus Center/Lot South).
- Employee Parking Lots shuttle service is provided between the three main employee lots and each terminal (Lot East, Lot West and LAX City Bus Center/Lot South).
- To use our shuttle services, travelers should board the LAX Shuttle under the LAX Shuttle & Airline Connections blue sign on the Lower/Arrivals Level islands in front of each terminal.
Ride app and taxi pickups are located in a central lot next to Terminal 1 called LAX-it. Dedicated LAX-it shuttles operate on the lower/arrivals level. Shuttles will come every 3 to 5 minutes. They will make a maximum of 2 stops before heading to LAX-it. LAX staff will be available at each shuttle stop to help with wayfinding, questions, luggage loading and assistance for guests with disabilities. There are no changes to drop off. Economy Parking Lot E is conveniently located near Los Angeles International Airport at 5455 W 111th Street, and has 2,690 parking spaces, available on a first-come, first-served basis. Courtesy shuttle service is available 24/7, and runs approximately every 15 minutes between Economy parking Lot E and the LAX Central Terminal Area, with convenient stops at each terminal. LAX has a 24-hour LAX Cell Phone Waiting Lot where motorists meeting arriving passengers can wait for free, up to two hours, until passengers call to say they are ready to be picked up in the Central Terminal Area. The Lot is one-quarter mile from the 96th Street Bridge entrance into LAX's passenger terminal area. It is easily accessible from the north and east by motorists using La Tijera, Sepulveda, Manchester and Century Boulevard to access LAX.
No commercial vehicles or ride-service vehicles allowed. Vehicles in the LAX Cell Phone Waiting Lot must be attended at all times. No parking is allowed in or around this facility.
For shuttle service to LAX, Cell Phone Lot customers will have to use Metro Bus Bays 11 and 12. In addition, passengers can obtain local transit information by calling 323.GO.METRO or 323.466.3876.

Simply approach the TSA travel document checker and let an officer know. You will be asked to complete a form to include your name and current address, and may be asked additional questions to confirm your identity. If your identity can be confirmed, you will be cleared to proceed through security and may be subject to additional screening. If your identity can’t be confirmed with the information you provide, or if you’re not willing to provide TSA with the information needed to help make a determination, you may not be permitted to make the trip. If you do not have your ID, please allow extra time for check in. In addition, please note that temporary IDs are not valid at the security checkpoint.

A passenger can go to the airline ticket counter of the airline they are flying, and receive the boarding pass. For printing a boarding pass from home, refer to the company you purchased your ticket from.
Enhanced federally mandated security measures are in place at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The new measures require travelers to be aware of changes in baggage check-in and security screening. They also require extra travel time. Please check with your airline to confirm your flight before going to the airport. It is recommended to arrive for a Domestic flight 2 hours prior to departure and 3 hours prior to departure for International flights.
Flight schedules vary throughout the day and, in general, flights scheduled during LAX's daily peak travel periods when more flights are scheduled (6:30 am to 9:00 am for domestic flights, 11:00 am to 2:00 pm and 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm for domestic and international flights) will require passengers to allot more time for ticketing, baggage check-in and security screening. Only an airline check-in agent can issue a gate pass to someone with a government-issued photo ID who wishes to accompany a minor child, a person with a disability or an elderly passenger to a departure gate or to meet that person at a domestic arrival gate.

A passenger with a valid boarding pass for that day’s travel can go through any screening station at LAX.

Yes, LAX has small "Animal Relief Stations" on the Lower/Arrivals Level of the Central Terminal area between Terminals 1-2 and at the southeast end of the Central Terminal Area near Terminals 7-8 (United Airlines) where pets can take a potty break. There's a little dog house there and a stand with plastic bags so owners can clean up after their animals, and a trash can. Pets cannot run free (i.e., unleashed) at the Terminals 7-8 location because it is still in the Central Terminal Area and the roadway runs alongside it. There is also a “Animal Relief Station” beyond passenger security screening in the Tom Bradley International Terminal (Terminal B).
Smoking at the airport is only allowed at designated spots outside the terminals. For more information go to http://maps.lawa.org.
ICE Currency Exchange booths are located on the departure level post-security in Terminals 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and Tom Bradley International Terminal (Terminal B). As well, Bank of America operates ATMs located in both departures and arrival levels in all terminals at LAX.

There are no money transfers, money orders, or business payments services located at LAX.

LAX does have a children’s play area located in the Great Hall of the Tom Bradley International Terminal (Terminal B - Level 4 Departures).
The Bob Hope USO at LAX is open 24/7, to current members of the military, their dependent families with proper military ID, and military retirees who meet admission requirements, on a space available basis, between 4 a.m. and 10 p.m. The USO is located on the ground floor of the historic LAX Theme Building on Center Way. Skycaps are located on the upper level curbside to assist passengers checking in luggage. Please check with the airline if they offer Skycap service at LAX airport. Smartecartes are also available at every terminal to help carry your luggage.
