LAX LAUNCHES PILOT FOR EXPANDED ON-DEMAND FOOD SERVICE

(Los Angeles, CA) Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) and Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW) have teamed up with Fly with Breeze (Breeze) to pilot an on-demand food service program in LAX Terminal 2, offering guests healthy dining options and the convenience to order anytime, anywhere. The pilot uses the concept of a ghost kitchen, in which food will be prepared in existing kitchen space within the terminal. This innovative model supports sustainability and small business development at LAX without the need for new construction or infrastructure.

MIDFIELD SATELLITE CONCOURSE BECOMES PART OF LAX AIRFIELD

STATE TRANSPORTATION SECRETARY JOINS LAX, TSA AND DMV TO HIGHTLIGHT REAL ID DEADLINE

LAX WELCOMES THE RETURN OF SCANDINAVIAN AIRLINES' NONSTOP SERVICE BETWEEN LAX AND COPENHAGEN

(Los Angeles, CA) City and Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) officials today welcomed the return of Scandinavian Airlines’ (SAS) nonstop service to and from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Copenhagen Airport (CPH), the airline’s largest Scandinavian hub. The airline is offering flights six times a week, and will increase that frequency to daily service beginning March 31. This new nonstop route makes LAX one of only two West Coast airports providing nonstop flights to and from Copenhagen.

LAX TO CONDUCT WIRELESS EMERGENCY ALERT TEST ON JAN. 15

(Los Angeles, CA)  Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) will conduct a full-scale test of the Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) system on Jan. 15. Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) is now among the government agencies across the country granted authority by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to utilize the WEA system, in which emergency text messages and an alert tone are pushed to compatible mobile devices – such as cell phones – within a pre-defined geographic area.
